Using Unsubscribe & Manage Preferences Links

Insert unsubscribe and preference links into templates and assign them to specific unsubscribe groups.

Steps to Use

  1. Create Unsubscribe Groups:

    • Go to Unsubscribe Setting in the EasyMails dashboard.

    • Click Add Group to create categories like "Newsletters", "Promotions", or "Transactional Emails".

    • Check “Display this group on your unsubscribe preferences page” if you want users to see this group on the preferences screen.

  2. Select an Unsubscribe Group in Your Template:

    • Open the Email Template Builder.

    • At the top (or in the template settings), select the Unsubscribe Group for that specific email.

    • This ensures that when a user clicks on {{unsubscribe}}, they are unsubscribed from that selected group only.

  3. Insert Unsubscribe or Manage Preferences Links:

    • Use the merge tag dropdown in the template editor to insert:

      • {{unsubscribe}} – A one-click unsubscribe from the selected group.

      • {{manage-preferences}} – Opens a page where recipients can choose which groups to remain subscribed to.

  4. Preview & Send:

    • Preview the email to confirm the correct links and group are applied.

    • Save and send or automate as needed.

Easily create and manage multiple unsubscribe groups. You can choose which ones appear on the recipient's preferences page using the checkbox.

Pro Tip: Always double-check the selected unsubscribe group when designing a campaign to ensure accurate tracking and proper list management.
